For work you own that has been posted without permission. If the issue is that you are in the photo rather than that you took it, use the report form instead — it is faster and it is the right route.

Send a notice

A valid notice identifies the work, identifies where it appears on Fibs, and states that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised. Accounts that receive repeated upheld complaints are terminated — the policy is written down rather than left to judgement.

If you do not have a copy, that is fine — a description is enough.

You do not need an account, and you do not need to be the person in the photo.

Counter-notices

If something of yours was removed and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter-notice. Have the case number from the removal email to hand if you can — it ties the two together, though we can find it without.

Read that page before you start. A counter-notice passes your name, postal address and telephone number to whoever sent the complaint, which is a consequence worth knowing about in advance.
